Exit, Voice and Loyalty

Do you leave, do you protest, or do you remain loyal?

You’ve got a new boss at work and everything’s gone haywire. Normally you’d hand in your notice, but you’ve worked far too hard to get where you are now and you’re not going to give up. At home, that same burst pipe at the end of the street is filling your shoes with mud. You’ve reported it to the council, but it’s as if they’ve got no eyes or ears; it’s like talking to a brick wall. You feel like giving it all up and leaving this ungrateful country where everything is against you. Prices are rising, goods and services are getting worse and worse, the government is raising taxes and does nothing but ask for votes.

Calm down. It’s not just happening to you. It’s not just happening here.
